NOBODY'S SICK!

Ha ha ha, how I wish that weren't true. :P Be praying for us college kids here. seems everyone's immune system is on leave. Just about everyone has some kind of cough or something. :( Thankfully, I haven't gotten anything. This way I can help take care of everybody else. :)
Anyways... My favorite part of Masters so far is City Conquest. :D City Conquest is where we go into the schools and counsel the kids and talk to them abut their lives. At the end of last year we grew from doing City Conquest at the high school and the seventh grade school to also running a character club at one of the local elementary schools. :) the little kids are so CUTE! I think they think we're famous or something because we come in- a bunch of tall cool looking adults- just to play games with them and stuff. I'm not sure they even realize it's a class. X) lol. gotta love it. I loved that I came back this year and so many kids remembered me. :) I felt so loved and special. I'm so thankful God let me be able to come here and spend time with these kids. It feels so special.
This week God is Immanuel, God with us. This name helps me to remember to see Him as near to me, whether I can feel Him or not. As well as to see Him as always beside me, watching and listening at all times. Remember God is with you this week, and every week afterwards. :)
Love you!

Happenings...

So... it's been a month just about officially. I miss my family so bad right now. :( but I know I'm where God wants me. Sometimes I wonder if it's worth it, doing what He wants when it can be so painful at the time... But then if I really think about it, I realize in the long run that I'm really not going through much at all. I mean, Jesus went through MUCH more than I will ever have the chance to, so why would I complain when the biggest 'problem' I have is missing my family and friends? I need to learn to see it as, I have family and friends who I love, and who are so amazing, I can't help missing them. :)
I am growing so much already this year... I can already see that God brought me here to teach me more and stretch me in ways I couldn't be anywhere else. :) In my prayer time, I was calling God by a few different ones of His names and I felt Him put on my heart to start a 'game' of it. :) Last week, I decided I was going to take one of His names every week and call Him by that name, and specifically what it means, for that week. I want to be able to get to know Him and learn to worship Him from a whole new perspective, so I think worshiping Him for certain aspects at a time will grow us so much closer. :) Last week He was Elohim, which is the Hebrew name for Him meaning 'Creator God'. Implying He is powerful, creative, a lover of beauty and ultimately in control. I so enjoyed seeing Him that way that I kind of wished I'd said I would call Him that for more than just a week... :)
This week He is Jehovah Jireh, which means "God who provides". I have already been enjoying my time with Him by thanking Him for everything He already HAS provided, and bringing before Him my needs, and the needs of others. :) I am under the impression God is enjoying this game too. :D
God Bless you and have an amazing day!

The first place, Masters Commission!

So, I felt it was about time I got myself a blog. :) I can't promise I'll be able to post very often, but if I have time and an internet connection, it will be here. Anyways, I have recent;y started my second year here at Masters Commission in Greater Cincinnati and I'm loving it. :) I miss my family like crazy, but I know God wants me here. I am learning so much. I hope to be able to post a few rundowns of things I learn every few days so I'm not just saying "I learn things" and not telling anyone what they are. :P ha ha ha.

Well, gotta get back to schoolwork. God bless!
